“CHANGE IN A BOOK” is a cultural and educational project created by Plain Ink and supported by Silvian Heach Kids.
In its first phase, the project aims at creating new opportunities for underprivileged children in Nola (Italy), through a series of educational activities.
With the help of social workers and local institutions, Plain Ink has started working with 20 children and young people living in difficult conditions, offering them activities and practical tools to improve their surroundings. From intercultural understanding to participation, technology to science, our workshops were carried out for several months thank to the support provided by Silvian Heach Kids.
The children and young people who took part in the project were also helped to share their feelings and perceptions on themselves and their reality through artistic works, most notably drawings and essays. Two of such drawings have been selected by Silvian Heach Kids to become t-shirts, soon available in its online store to keep supporting Plain Ink and the work that we do.
The testimonial for this project is actress and producer Ms. Maria Grazia Cucinotta, whose support for children’s rights and needs is well-known. Ms. Cucinotta attended the launch of the project at Pitti Bimbo in Florence (Italy).
